Ferias |

Ferias offer an excellent opportunity to really get to know the Spanish. These city festivals are held once a year somewhere between April and November. All the citizens will be present during a week of celebration and of course it also attracts people from other towns and lots of tourists. During the day particularly, a lot of people get dressed up completely in traditional Andalucian costumes (which they all wear proudly, young and old) and a lot of them even bring their horse or carriage… Ferias are combined with a fair/kermis. Every town is obligated to have a special terrain for this event and you find a lot of semi-permanent bars with nicely colored facades. All day long you can enjoy yourself with tapas, a nice drink, lots of (live) music and all kinds of elections and gatherings. In the special 'casetas' people join for food, drinks and dancing, but they aren't always open to the public. So if you get the chance…
