The size of Spain is about 500.000 km, more than twice as big as Great-Britain. There are several parts:

• The Iberian Island (main land; the most southern point lies 14 km from Morocco). From the Iberian island 80% is Spanish and 20% is Portuguese.
• Canarian Islands (1000 km from the main land next to Morocco; the islands are Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, La Palma, La Gomera en El Hierro).
• The Balearics (east from the main land; the islands are Majorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera).
• Ceuta and Melilla (two enclave cities in the North of Morocco).

Spain has a border to Portugal (1214 km) and France (623 km). Besides that there’s a little independent mini-state Andorra in the Pyrenees. like Gibraltar is an English enclave in Spain. The total coast line comes up to almost 5000 km.

Nowadays Spain has 17 autonomous states. Andalusia is the biggest state and all the states are divided in provinces of which in total there are 52. Nerja lies in Andalusia in the province of Malaga.

National parcs and the UNESCO World Heritage List

Andalusia has 2 official national parcs: river delta La Donana in the South West and the mountains of the Sierra Nevada close to Granada. Besides these you have many small protected wildlife areas. Spain's also on the UNESCO World Heritage List several times: (Source: Wikipedia):
