Opening hours and siesta |

Most shops and official buildings in Andalusia are open from 9:00 or 10:00 until 14:00 and open again at 17:00 until 20:00 or 21:00. On Saturday lots of shops don’t reopen after siesta. Bigger shops, tourist’s shops (especially in high season) and supermarkets stay open all day. On Sunday everything’s closed except for the tourist’s shops and maybe a small supermarket for holiday makers. The Spanish usually have their main meal of the day around this time and some people also take a nap (especially when it’s hot).
Post office and banks: Monday to Friday from 09:00 till 14:00. Markets are usually just in mornings until siesta.
