Health care in Spain is generally extremely good. In the commercial clinics they often speak English or German or they have a translator. Pharmacies can give good and helpful advice when it comes to minor health problems and sell a wide range of medication over the counter including anti-biotics. In most 'Farmacias' at least one member of staff is able to speak English. In Spain it is easier to get more medicine without a doctor’s prescription..
